Oscar Lopez, Building & Life Safety Inspector with Kingman Fire Department addressed the Kingman Route 66 Rotary Club on the benefits of QR911.

Speaking at the July 12th meeting of Kingman Route 66 Rotary Club was Oscar Lopez, Building & Life Safety Inspector with Kingman Fire Department (shown above with club past-president Becky Fawson). Lopez addressed the club on QR911, a program that provides life-saving information to emergency responders. City of KIngman Fire Department is the first fire department in the nation to offer this free program. With it, each person that enrolls is issued a QR code, specific to that individual, which can be printed out & displayed in the home, vehicle, wallet, etc. Included in the code is the individual's critical medical information such as medications taken, allergies, etc. and is confidential and can only be accessed by emergency responders.For more information on QR911, contact Lopez at 928-753-2891 or alopez@cityofkingman

KFD Launches New Life Saving Tool

KINGMAN — Kingman Fire is about to launch a new program for the citizens of Kingman. KFD is partnering with QR911, a QR Code reader based program. This is a free program to the citizens of Kingman. This program will assist Kingman Fire personnel download needed medical history and health concerns of our citizens in a critical life event. If the patient is unconscious or there are no family members that are immediately available to answer life saving question, they can gain access through the QR911 code to assist our citizens more rapidly. The medical information is securely stored and fire personnel are the only ones that can access the information through a password protected system that alerts the user, battalion chief EMS and the fire chief access to the vital information. Firehouse.com: QR911 Announces Program to Help Communications During Emergencies

QR911 signs placed around homes enable emergency medical responders access to sensitive, personal, medical information and home details.

A new high-tech free service, QR911 has partnered with Kingman, AZ, Fire Department. QR911 provides a new layer of security and safety to the community and firefighters.

QR911 is a free community service; free to communities, fire departments, and residents. Through QR code technology and partnerships with communities and fire departments, QR911 provides another layer of safety to residents and emergency medical responders. Users (private citizens and businesses) are provided a printable QR Code (QR911 signs) to be placed around the home on windows, doors, and personal belongings. When scanned, QR911 signs enable emergency medical responders access to sensitive, personal, medical information and home details. QR911 is easy, practical, secure, and free.

Signup with QR911 is easy and quick. In about 10 minutes the user can provide emergency contacts, medical status and a building profile. The user can then print their own QR911 sign. Only the emergency medical responders can access the user’s information through password protection.

Kingman Fire Chief Jake Rhoades is very excited about the new program. When minutes count, seconds matter. The Fire department will have all information needed to perform their job at a new level of speed and accuracy.

QR911 is based out of Tucson, AZ, with David Cashion, David Kryder co-founding and Chief Todd LeDuc serving as senior advisor. QR911 is proud to announce Kingman, AZ, the first city in America with the lifesaving service.
